The Auburn Tigers have the highest prospect of the two teams in the draft in defensive tackle Derrick Brown. He played all four seasons with the Tigers seeing action in eight games as a freshman. He averaged four sacks in his final two seasons posting 22 tackles for loss in that span. Brown is expected to be selected seventh by the Carolina Panthers who are looking to rebuild their defensive line to get more pressure on the quarterback. Their next highest prospect is defensive end Marlin Davidson. The pass rusher played in all four seasons with the school even contributing with 2 ½ sacks as a freshman. It was a very good senior season for Davidson as he had 11 ½ tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Experts like him in a 4-3 defense and are very high on his pass rushing ability.

Georgia Bulldogs top draft prospect is offensive tackle Andrew Thomas. He has great size standing at six foot five inches weighing 320 pounds. He exits following his junior season and saw time with the Bulldogs on both sides of the line. Draft experts would like to see Thomas improve his footwork but can earn a starting job in the league. He is projected as the fifteenth pick in the draft to the Denver Broncos who are looking to protect their young quarterback Drew Lock. Running back D’Andre Swift is rated as the seventeenth prospect in the draft. Swift exits the Bulldogs after his junior year in college. He averaged 6.6 yards per carry in his three seasons and totaled 20 touchdowns. The back can contribute in the passing game running good routes with hands. Draft experts like his explosion at the line of scrimmage. D’Andre Swift is expected to go 32nd to the Kansas City Chiefs who have the final pick in the first round. Teams like to look at pass rushers, quarterbacks and receivers with high picks over running backs.
