The best rated player entering the draft in these conferences is linebacker Isaiah Simmons from Clemson. Simmons is expected to be selected in the first round by the New York Giants. This is a team that was last in scoring defense in 2019 surrendering 28.2 points per game. The Tigers linebacker red shirted in his freshman season then played the next three seasons. It was a monster 2019 for Simmons as he had 8 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss.

Next highest rated ACC conference prospect is Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins. He leaves the school after three seasons. Higgins in 2019 caught 59 passes with 13 touchdowns and a good 19.8 yards per receptions. There are five receivers rated higher than Higgins by the draft experts. Mock drafts have Higgins going to Green Bay late in the first round.

Arizona St Sun Devils wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is rated the highest PAC 12 prospect entering the draft. He is a JC transfer playing two seasons with the Sun Devils. In 2019 Aiyuk had 65 receptions with 8 touchdowns and 18.3 yards per completions. Aiyuk was playing with a true freshman at quarterback who struggled for the first half of the season. He can contribute in special teams as a kickoff and punt returner. On punt returns Aiyuk averaged 16.1 yards per return in 2019. The experts have the Sun Devils receiver going to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second half of the first round.

Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is also a first round prospect from the PAC 12. Herbert answered the critics who were concerned by his accuracy following his junior season. He returned for his senior season at Oregon. Herbert completed 66.8% of his throws with 32 touchdowns and 6 picks. He led the Ducks to a PAC 12 championship and a Rose Bowl victory against Wisconsin. The draft experts have Herbert going early in the first round to the Chargers or Jaguars.
