The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the over under of quarterbacks selected in the first round at four. Favored is over four at -155 odds with the under four bringing back +125 odds.

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to be selected as the first pick in the 2020 draft. Burrow helped lead the Tigers to the National Championship. He completed 76.3% of his throws last season with 60 touchdowns and 6 picks. It was a huge improvement from his junior season where he connected on 57.8% with 16 touchdowns and 5 picks. Cincinnati Bengals have the first pick in the draft and are looking for a franchise quarterback. Team benched Andy Dalton last year and could be looking to trade their veteran quarterback.

Tua Tagovailoa is the second best quarterback in this draft. His 2019 season was cut short due to a hip injury. Three seasons with Alabama the lefty completed 69.3% of his throws with 87 touchdowns and 11 picks. Miami Dolphins and LA Chargers have picks five and six in the first round. Both teams need a franchise type quarterback. Dolphins starter is Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Chargers lost Phillip Rivers in free agency.

Projected as the third quarterback taken in the draft is Justin Herbert. The former Oregon Ducks signal caller returned for his senior season in 2019 to the surprise of many. He helped lead the Ducks to a Rose Bowl win against Wisconsin on New Year’s Day. He completed 66.8% of his throws last year best in his college career with 32 touchdowns and 6 picks. Dolphins or Chargers in need of a quarterback with early picks will probably be his landing spot.

Utah St quarterback Jordan Love is rated in the Top 4 of this draft. There are question marks if Love has the credentials to be a first round NFL pick. He leaves the Aggies after his junior season where the completed 61.9% of his throws with 20 touchdowns and 17 picks playing in a weak Mountain West conference. Jacksonville Jaguars with picks 6 and 20th in the draft could be in a market for a starting quarterback. On the Jaguars roster are Gardner Minshew and Joshua Dobbs.

Others include Jake Fromm from Georgia, Jalen Hurts of Oklahoma and Jacob Eason out of Washington. Fromm leaves the Bulldogs after his junior season starting all three years. He completed 60.8% of his throws in 2019 the lowest in his three seasons. Hurts after three years with Alabama played his senior season with Oklahoma. Jalen Hurts with the Sooners last year completed 69.7% of his throws with 32 touchdowns and 8 picks. Eason transferred to Washington for his junior season from Georgia. With the Huskies in 2019 the signal caller hit on 64.2% of his throws with 23 touchdowns and 8 picks. If five quarterbacks are taken from the first round it will be account on need from a fifth team. New England Patriots lose Tom Brady in free agency and currently have Jarrett Stidham, Cody Kessler and Brian Hoyer on the roster. Patriots have the 23rd pick in the first round. Tennessee has the 29th pick in the draft. Ryan Tannehill is coming off a productive season leading the team to a playoff spot. He will turn 32 years old in July. Logan Woodside is the backup. Titans could be in search for a backup and could look to a future starting quarterback.
