The top rated prospect in the NFL draft from the LSU Tigers is quarterback Joe Burrow. He is expected to be the first player taken in the draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent three seasons with the Ohio St Buckeyes red shirting his freshman season. Not able to get into the starting role as a sophomore he transferred to LSU to start his junior and senior season. Burrow had a breakout senior year with the Tigers as the quarterback completed 76.3% of his throws for 5671 yards with 60 touchdowns and 6 picks. Draft experts tout Burrow as ready to start immediately in the NFL with his strong accurate arm and intelligence. Wide receiver Justin Jefferson is the next highest rated LSU player. Jefferson saw significant action in two of his three seasons at LSU. He too had a breakout 2019 campaign with 111 catches for 1540 yards with 18 touchdowns. Inside linebacker Patrick Queen is rated as third highest on LSU. In his junior campaign Queen had 85 total tackles with 12 tackles for loss. Experts like his speed in pass defense and power to play the run. The negative is Queen is undersized at six foot tall.

Defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson, safety Grant Delpit and running back Clyde Edwards Helaire are next on the top NFL prospect draft list for LSU. Chaisson a talented defensive end who closed strong with 4 ½ sacks in the last four games. He has dealt with injuries in his college career. Chaisson had a great playoff performance against Oklahoma. Delpit started all three seasons with LSU. The safety dealt with injury issues in his final year with LSU with a high ankle sprain and could not complete at the draft combine.
