The NFL Free Agent Frenzy has begun with a huge domino falling as Tom Brady leaves New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We look at the current odds on who starts at quarterback in the 2020 opening game for New England.

The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has Andy Dalton the +300 odds favorite. Dalton is still under contract with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2020 season and his salary is 17.5 million. With Cincinnati set to draft Joe Burrow with their first pick there will be no role for Andy Dalton with the Bengals and the team is open to listen for trade offers.

Jameis Winston checks in as second favorite at +350 odds. Winston is a free agent and his time with Tampa Bay appears to be over, with the Buccaneers free agent signing of Tom Brady. The veteran quarterback doesn’t seem to be the type of quarterback Bill Belichick will like based on Winston’s number of interceptions.

Carolina Panthers Cam Newton sits at +400 odds. With Teddy Bridgewater heading to Carolina it appears Cam Newton will not return to the Panthers. Newton is still under contract with Carolina for 21 million this season and is a free agent next season. Panthers are open to trading Cam and some are speculating a reunion with Ron Rivera at Washington.

Backup Jarrett Stidham a longshot at +500 odds. If the chips fall in the right place the then second year quarterback Jarrett Stidham will get a good look in training camp. He threw only four passes in his rookie campaign last year. He played his college football career at Auburn and was a fourth round draft pick. Part of the field bet at +350 odds is third string quarterback Cody Kessler.

Former Patriots backup Jacoby Brissett is the longest shot in the field at +650 odds. With the Colts signing Phillip Rivers it does open the possibility of moving 2019 starter Jacoby Brissett who is under contract through the 2020 season. Brian Hoyer was the backup for Brissett last season so the Colts could listen to offers for their 2019 starter in a possible deal. Jacoby Brissett was drafted by New England in 2016 and spent his rookie season with the Patriots. He played in 35 games the past three season with Indianapolis as Andrew Luck was injured then retired in 2019.
