Televised by CBS TV at 8PM Eastern Time the Detroit Lions are home to the Buffalo Bills. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team Buffalo Bills favored by -2 points with the over under line set at 42 points. It has been a poor look for the Detroit Lions in the preseason. The team is 0-2 as they allowed 31 points at home to New England and 30 points to the Houston Texans last week on the road. Lions are surrendering 434 yards of offense per game with 284 in the passing game. Lions have not played starting quarterback Matthew Stafford in the preseason. In the Week 3 dress rehearsal many teams will play their starters into the third quarter to work on their stamina for a full game. There is no joint practice for the Lions and Bills so there is speculation that Stafford may see the field. Healthy backup for Stafford is Connor Cook as Tom Savage is dealing with an injury. Buffalo has won both their preseason games beating Carolina 27-14 on the road and home 24-16 to Indianapolis. Starting quarterback Josh Allen went 9 of 11 last week for 102 yards. Matt Barkley in relief was 8 of 10 for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Delayed on NFL Network the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a home date with the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is favored by -3 points with the total lined at 42 ½ points. Browns are 2-0 in the preseason following their 21-19 win at Indianapolis. Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield did not play last week. Head coach Freddie Kitchens told the media he will play starters in this game and sit all starters next week in their final preseason game. Tampa Bay moved to 1-1 in the preseason after their 16-14 win at home to Miami. They opened with a poor defensive effort in a 30-28 loss at Pittsburgh. Buccaneers is dealing with an injury to their starting wide receiver Mike Evans. Starting quarterback Jameis Winston and the starters played only the opening drives of their first two preseason games. Head coach Bruce Arians spoke this week about his starters playing a full half on Friday night.
