At 8PM Eastern Time on NFL Network the LA Chargers are home to the New Orleans Saints. Chargers are favored by -3 points with the total set at 42 ½ points. In their home opener last week in their return to LA the Chargers were blown out by the Seattle Seahawks 48-17. It was a sloppy performance by the San Diego offense with four turnovers in defeat. Those turnovers were not committed by the first string. Phillip Rivers and the first string were able to drive for a touchdown as Rivers hit 5 of 6 throws for 56 yards and a touchdown as he hit Antonio Gates for a five yard score. LA allowed Seattle to move the football for 458 yards with 325 passing. New Orleans in their opener at Cleveland last week lost 20-14. Drew Brees sat in the loss. Ryan Nassib threw for 110 yards and a touchdown. Saints passing defense gave up 241 yards to the Browns.
