The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the Tennessee Titans favored by +200 odds. The Titans sit tied with the Houston Texans at 9-7 in the AFC South but lost the division due to tiebreaker rules. Quarterback Marcus Mariota enters his third season under center for the Titans. Mariota has his passer rating increase four points over his rookie campaign. He threw for 26 touchdowns with nine interceptions as he completed 61.2% of his passes for 3426 yards. Tennessee needs to improve on a defense that finished 30th in the league defending the pass as the unit allowed 269 yards per game. A 2-4 record in the division in 2016 costs Tennessee the crown and a spot in the playoffs. They were swept by the Indianapolis Colts last year and a 21 point loss at Jacksonville on Christmas Eve costs the Titans hopes for a postseason berth. They posted victories against playoff teams in Houston, Kansas City, Denver, Green Bay, Miami and Detroit.

Co-second favorites in the wagering are the Houston Texans at +220 odds. Houston won the AFC South division in 2017 at 9-7 despite poor play at the quarterback position. Texans were 29th in the in passing offense and were carried into the playoffs behind the number one rated defense in the NFL. There are hopes that rookie DeShaun Watson will compete and earn the starting quarterback job for the Texans.

Also at +220 odds are the Indianapolis Colts. It was a disappointing 8-8 year for the Colts last year. Defense is a major concern for Indianapolis as they finished 30th in the league last year by allowing 282 yards per game. Andrew Luck completed 63.5% of his passes in 2016 with 31 touchdowns and 13 picks.

The longshots to win the AFC South are the Jacksonville Jaguars who return +450 odds. Jacksonville was last in the division at 3-13. Jaguars were a bottom third offense in the league in 2016 behind quarterback Blake Bortles. The Jacksonville signal caller enters his fourth season and has been hampered with interceptions during his career with many going for opponents touchdowns.
