The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the Green Bay Packers -290 favorites to win the NFC North in 2017. Green Bay were the winners of the NFC North finishing with a 10-6 mark and one game ahead of second place Detroit in 2016. They were 5-1 against the division. A four game losing streak to start November left the Packers sitting at 4-6 but Aaron Rodgers predicted the Packers would win their final six regular season games in a row and they did just that. Rodgers struggled early with injuries to playmakers in the passing game and to his line. The defense improved late as well. Green Bay earned victories in the playoffs at home to the Giants and on the road to Dallas. They were soundly beaten at Atlanta 44-21 in the NFC Championship Game.

Second in the wagering are the Minnesota Vikings at +350 odds. Minnesota suffered a key injury in training camp last year as starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was lost for the season. The team then engineered a trade to move former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford to Minnesota. He led the Vikings to a disappointing 8-8 mark in 2016. They were the 28th ranked offense in football with 32nd and worst ranking on the ground.

Third are the Detroit Lions who bring back +550 odds. Detroit was a 9-7 team in 2016 and that was good enough to earn a playoff spot where they were eliminated in the Wildcard game at Seattle 26-6. Detroit closed the season losers of four straight games. A key loss came in Week 17 at home to Green Bay on a Sunday night that cost the Lions the NFC North division crown.

The longshots to win the NFC North are the Chicago Bears at +2800 odds. It was a down season for Chicago in 2016 as the team finished in last place at 3-13. Jay Cutler is now headed into retirement and it will be rookie Mitch Trubisky battling Matt Glennon for the starters role. Mark Sanchez is also on the roster.
