The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business have the upstart Cleveland Browns the +125 odds favorite to win the AFC North division. The Browns turn to Freddie Kitchens as their head coach. He served as the offensive coordinator last season. Browns saw good play offensively under Baker Mayfield at quarterback. Browns averaged 22 points and 369 yards last year an improvement of seven points and 60 yards. Defense that was supposed to be a strength last year was a disappointment as the team allowed 393 yards per game giving up 258 yards passing. Cleveland made noise in free agency acquiring wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and running back Kareem Hunt. Their top four picks in the draft were two linebackers and two in the secondary

Second in the wagering are the Pittsburgh Steelers bringing back +180 odds. Pittsburgh finished at 9-6-1 last year and missed the playoffs. They dropped four of their final six games to close the season. They continued their trend to be pass heavy. In 2018 the team threw for 313 yards per game with only 90 on the ground. Gone is running back Le’Veon Bell, wide out Antonio Brown and tight end Jesse James. Running back James Connor was productive in the backfield and the team drafted running back Benny Snell out of Kentucky who averaged 5 yards per carry or greater in every year in college. Steelers added pieces in the draft in the first round with linebacker Devin Bush from Michigan and in the third round with Justin Layne a corner out of Michigan St.

Baltimore Ravens sit third at +350 odds. Baltimore finished at 10-6 in the regular season last year. They were eliminated in the Wildcard round losing 23-17 at home to the LA Chargers. Joe Flacco is no longer a Raven as he is with the Broncos. Baltimore is all in with second year quarterback Lamar Jackson. He is a mobile quarterback that likes to run as the team averaged 149 yards per game last year on the ground. Baltimore was a good defensive team last year holding opponents to 290 yards and 18 point per game.

Longest shot in the field are the Cincinnati Bengals that return +1200 odds to become division champions. Zac Taylor takes over as head coach for the Bengals. He was the LA Rams quarterback coach. Bengals suffered through their third straight losing season finishing at 6-10 in 2018. Cincinnati was a bad defense giving up 28 points and 414 yards per game in the 2018 campaign. Andy Dalton returns at quarterback and is hoping that tight end Tyler Eifert can make it through an entire season healthy as he has suffered some bad injury luck in his career.
