It all gets underway with a NFC North battle at 12:30PM Eastern Time on FOX as the Detroit Lions will host the Minnesota Vikings. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the road team Minnesota Vikings favored by -2 ½ points with the total set at 44 ½ points. Minnesota is 8-2 and holds a two game lead over Lions in the division. Lions won the first meeting so a win here would allow Detroit to win the tiebreaker should they finish with the same record at seasons end. Minnesota was involved in a defensive struggle with the LA Rams tied at 7-7 heading into the fourth quarter. Then the Vikings took control of the game with defensive stops and big plays in the passing game to score 17 unanswered points in a 24-7 home victory as a 1 point closing favorite. Detroit has won three straight after a 27-24 victory at the Chicago Bears. Detroit has lost home games to playoff contenders in the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.

At 4:30PM Eastern Time on CBS TV the Dallas Cowboys are home to the LA Chargers. LA is favored on the road by -2 with the total set at 47 ½ points. Cowboys are 5-5 and out of the playoff picture after their home loss to Philadelphia Sunday night 37-9. Cowboys have been held to a total of 16 points combined in their past two games. Chargers have won four of six after a 54-24 home victory to Buffalo and are back in the race in the AFC West division.

On NBC TV at 8:30PM Eastern Time the Washington Redskins have a home date with the New York Giants. Washington is favored by -7 with the over under line of 45.  Giants broke through with an overtime victory last week at home to the Kansas City Chiefs 12-9. New York was aided by Chiefs miscues on that windy day. Washington must feel miserable blowing a 15 point lead late to New Orleans to fall to 4-6 with the 34-31 road overtime defeat.
