The AFC Wildcard action gets underway at 4:35PM Eastern Time on ESPN TV as the Houston Texans are home to the Buffalo Bills. The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Houston Texans favored by -2 ½ points with the over under line of 44 points. Buffalo hits the playoffs with a 10-5 record. They played in five games against playoff teams this season and was only able to win once. That came early in the season against Tennessee winning 14-7 but that was with Marcus Mariota under center for the Titans who has since been benched for ineffectiveness. Bills have struggled offensively this season ranking 26th in the league in passing and 23rd in scoring. Houston is also 10-6 and were champions of the AFC South. Texans earned late clutch victories to help win the division against New England at home and a huge win at Tennessee. Texans defense has not been good this year with the team ranking 29th in the league against the pass and 25th defending the run.

At 8:15PM Eastern Time on CBS TV it will be the New England Patriots hosting the Tennessee Titans. New England is favored by -5 points with an over under line set at 44 points. New England is forced to play in the wildcard instead of enjoying a first round bye after their 27-24 home defeat to Miami. Patriots closed their regular season losing three of their final five games. New England has scored 24 or fewer points in seven of their final eight games. Tennessee enters the playoffs at 9-7. Team saw major improvement offensively by benching Marcus Mariota for Ryan Tannehill. Titans have won seven of ten after their 35-14 win at Houston to clinch a spot into the playoffs. Tennessee a good defensive team holding opponents to 359 yards per game. Titans give help to Tannehill with a very good running attack that generates five yards per rush.
