The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has the home side Minnesota Vikings favored by -3 ½ points with the over under line set at 47 points. Minnesota missed the playoffs last year with a mark of 8-7-1. They were not a balanced team offensively relying too much on the pass. This year Minnesota is hoping to get the run game going after averaging just 94 yards on the ground and 4.2 yards per rush in 2018. Atlanta missed the playoffs as well with a 7-9 mark last year. Falcons suffered cluster injuries on defense a season ago specifically in their secondary. Team also needs to better protect Matt Ryan as they drafted two offensive linemen with their first two picks in the draft.

At 4:25PM Eastern Time on FOX TV the Dallas Cowboys have a home date with the New York Giants. Dallas is favored by -7 points with the total lined at 45 ½ points. Dallas signed Ezekiel Elliot to a long turn contract and is available to the teams on Sunday night Dallas has a strong offensive line, but the team needs better work in the red zone to improve on 21 points per game last season. New York looks to improve on a 5-11 season. Giants drafted quarterback Daniel Jones in the first round so the pressure is on Eli Manning to perform. New York has missed the playoffs in three of four seasons. Manning had a running game that generated 4.7 yards per rush.

Sunday Night Football has a kickoff at 8:20PM Eastern Time on NBC TV as the New England Patriots are home to the Pittsburgh Steelers. New England is favored by -5 ½ points with the total lined at 49 points. Pittsburgh is without Antonio Brown but has talent in their passing game to overcome the loss. Steelers added Benny Snell a running back out of Kentucky to complement James Connor in the backfield. New England is without Rob Gronkowski to retirement and has lost their starting center to injury. Patriots have depth in their running back and wide receiver position.
