The current odds at Oddsmaker, where the bonuses are the best in the business has Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers favored to win the MVP at +500 odds.

Aaron Rodgers—The veteran quarterback is hoping for better injury luck as he was limited to seven games last year due to a collar bone injury. Still he completed 64.7% of his passes with sixteen touchdowns and six picks. The Packers defense is improving so it allow Rodgers more possessions to pad his stats.

Second in the wagering are Tom Brady and Carson Wentz as each quarterback will return +600 odds.

Tom Brady—The Patriot quarterback has turned 41. Julian Edelman will have to serve a four game suspension. Amendola was lost in free agency. Brady will get help in pass protection with guard Isaiah Wynn a guard from Georgia drafted in the first round. They then selected Georgia running back Sony Michel forcing defenses to respect the run.

Carson Wentz—A frustrating end of the season for Carson Wentz as he was lost for the season with a knee injury and missed the Eagles Super Bowl playoff run. Before being sidelined Wentz completed 60.2% of his passes with 33 touchdowns and seven picks. He has his weapons back in the passing game.

A couple of quarterback longshots are Matt Ryan and Andrew Luck who both bring back +2200 odds.

Matt Ryan—Matt Ryan did not have the success he did in 2016 as his numbers dipped last season. He completed 64.7% of his passes with 20 touchdowns and 12 picks. Falcons had issues with red zone execution. Helping greatly in the Falcons passing game is first round pick Calvin Ridley from Alabama. Paired with Julio Jones expect Ryan to improve his numbers in 2018.

Andrew Luck—The Indianapolis quarterback missed the 2017 season with a shoulder injury. He is saying the right things in training camp as he is throwing without pain. It all comes down to pass protection and the Colts have been drafting offensive lineman high in the draft of late.

In a non-quarterback position, it is LA Rams running back Todd Gurley returning +2800 odds.

Todd Gurley—The LA Rams paid Todd Gurley in the offseason. With the Rams beefing up on defense they should be looking to protect leads late in games. They will look to Gurley more to keep the defense fresh. With the Rams good passing game Gurley found room to run and averaged 4.7 yards per rush last season.
