But the Sharks were able to advance into the Western conference finals with victories in seven games to the Vegas Golden Knights and Avalanche. St Louis entered the playoffs as one of the hottest teams in the NHL as the team sat near the bottom of the Western conference in Mid-December then rallied to make the postseason and winning two series. St Louis has not had recent success in San Jose with four straight losses on Sharks ice. Home team has had success in St Louis versus San Jose head to head meetings with sixth straight wins.
