The Lakers return home down 0-2 in this series and a bit frustrated about letting game two slip through their fingers. LA got outscored in the game’s final minutes 9-0 as they blew a seven point lead late. The Lakers were haunted by bad shooting in game two as the club made just 38.5% from the floor. Once again the Lakers bench was non-existent as the unit produced just 11 points in their game two defeat. LA is surely missing the talent from their bench a year ago in Lamar Odom and Shannon Brown as this Lakers team is less talented from the team that was swept in the second round by the eventual World Champion Dallas Mavericks.

If you believe that Oklahoma City can get past San Antonio if they get to the Western conference finals than you better believe that OKC will win this series in a four game sweep. The issue with the Thunder is they need to get some inside scoring as they often settle for outside shooting. The combination of Westbrook, Durant and Harden often launch outside shots and teams improve perimeter defense in the playoffs. Game three is no lock for OKC because they have not involved their big men in the paint enough for easy baskets. Look for a lot of feeds down low by LA to Gasol and Bynum so OKC will need to avoid foul problems tonight and hope they are not whistled to defeat by the refs. Officiating could be challenged in the press conference by OKC during the press conferences following game three.
