The current odds available for wagering at Oddsmaker has the road team Pittsburgh Steelers favored by-1 point with the over under line of 45 ½ points.

The Steelers are 3-4 straight up on the road this season with losses to the Broncos, Raiders and Cleveland Browns. Pittsburgh is in a funk right now with three losses over their past four games. Last week at home the Steelers were soundly beaten by the San Diego Chargers 34-24. The Chargers put up 34 points against the number one ranked defense in all of football and that hasn’t sit too well with the Steelers coaching staff. Starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned off injury and was a bit rusty in the beginning of the game. After about 40 minutes of football the Steelers found themselves trailing 27-3. They scored 21 points late to make the score seem a bit respectable. The Steelers just can’t seem to find balance with their offense. Their run game continues to sail downwards putting too much pressure on the Steelers offense line in pass protection. Pittsburgh is 25th in the NFL in rushing the football so teams don’t respect their run game. With Rashad Mendenhall in the Steelers dog house the rest of the chain of runners are just not getting the job done. With the New York Giants slumping in recent weeks it gave some life and hope to the Dallas Cowboys to make a run for the NFC East title. The team is just one game behind the Giants with three to play. They overcome a nine point fourth quarter deficit to pull out a 20-19 road win at Cincinnati last week. With a healthy Demarco Murray at running back for the Cowboys it has given Dallas a balanced attack which has greatly aided the passing accuracy for quarterback Tony Romo.
