The Portland Trailblazers this season have not been a very good road team with a poor 5-10 record on the season. They have beaten up on many of the losing teams on the road but when they faced a quality foe they have not fared well. The team welcomed back LaMarcus Aldridge back into the lineup on Saturday and the team responded with the 97-77 home win against the Atlanta Hawks laying -5 ½ points on the spread. Aldridge poured in 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. Without Aldridge the Trailblazers played poorly defensively losing two of three games. This will be the second meeting of the season between the Trailblazers and Lakers on the year. Portland earned the 11 point home win back on January 5th as a -3 ½ point betting favorite.

The LA Lakers have played much better basketball on their home court with a 13-2 record. LA has struggled for offense for the most part with 93 points per game average season to date. After the Lakers 102-90 defeat at the Phoenix Suns Lakers guard Kobe Bryant took a shot at management over the Pau Gasol pending trade. Kobe is looking for closure on Pau’s future with the LA Lakers and also hinted that Gasol may not be going all out due to the trade rumors swirling over him. Gasol has averaged just 13 ½ points a game over his past two games. The biggest issue for the Lakers is their lack of quality shooters in the point guard position as Derek Fisher averages 36.3% shooting from the field and Steve Blake just 37.6% from the floor.
