The Chicago Cubs will look to close out the first half of their regular season in style when they welcome the San Francisco Giants into Wrigley Field for a three game set over the weekend. The Cubs currently hold a hold a 4.5-game lead over the Redbirds in the NL Central with Milwaukee nipping at their heels just five-games out. Chicago has been as good as it gets in the comfy confines of their own stadium, but San Francisco has been inexplicably better away from AT&T Park.

The Giants come into this three-game set off a series loss against the NY Mets that saw them get shutout in two of the three games. If they continue to swing the sticks poorly in this series, look for the Cubs to slaughter them throughout the weekend. Even though they’re 13-games under .500 overall (39-52), they’ve scratched out a $458 return for their betting backers on the road.

The Cubs have been a dominant force in the comfy confines of Wrigley Field this season evidenced by their stellar 35-10 record that’s brought its betting backers in a cool $1979.00 on the season. In their L/28 home games, the Cubs have secured victories in 24 of them making Wrigleyville one of the happiest places to be in the world.

These clubs last squared off a week ago in San Francisco when each team picked up a pair of wins in the four-game series. Chicago won five of the seven meetings a year ago, and can match that feat with a sweep this weekend as well.
