Since beginning the season at 0-3 the Houston Texans have gone on a seven game win streak as they sit atop the AFC South division standings at 7-3. During that span they beat only two divisional teams in the Colts on the road and the Jaguars away from home. Last week the team defeated Washington Redskins 23-21 as a Redskins attempt at the game winning field goal fell short. Two weeks back in Denver the Texans squeaked out the 19-17 victory as the Broncos missed a field goal as time expired. Many media pundits have reported that the Texans are a lucky 7-3. Also, the Colts instead of settling for a tie with Houston decided to go for a first down in their own territory in the closing seconds of overtime that set up a game winning field goal for the Texans. So that is three fortunate wins out of their seven wins on the season. In fairness to the Texans the play of their defense has seen sharp improvement during their success.

Tennessee is 5-5 and has been an inconsistent team this season. After a road win at Dallas and at home to New England the team traveled to Indianapolis last week and dropped a 38-10 decision as a +1 point underdog. Starting quarterback Marcus Mariota left the game with a stinger and has been listed as probable as he was taken off the injury report on Sunday. Titan offense has struggled this season as the team is generating only 295 yards and 17.8 points per game. Tennessee ranks as the 30th and worst passing team in the NFL throwing for 183.7 yards per game.
