Game 1 on TNT tipping off at 8PM Eastern Time will send Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers into Boston to face the Celtics. The Lakers will be well rested having last played on Monday night in their 95-90 loss at Philadelphia. LA has struggled for points this season with just a 93 point per game average ranking 19th in the NBA. After a shaky start to the season the Celtics have righted the ship with good reserve play to support the Big 3. The team sits at 12-10 as they hosted the hapless Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night. Boston still plays great defense as the club is the second best in scoring defense giving up 86.7 points a game and the top field goal defense in all of the NBA as opponents connect on 41.6% from the floor against the Celtics.

The second game of the TNT doubleheader will feature Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder to Sacramento to face a young Kings team who are not used to prime time billing. This will be the Thunders fourth game of their five game west coast trip. They get a day off on Wednesday after playing their fourth game in five nights on Tuesday night. Keep an eye out on minutes played by the OKC Big three in Durant, Westbrook and Harden during that stretch. Heading into Tuesday the Thunder is a solid 10-4 straight up on the road this season. Sacramento returns home after a quick two game road trip that started positively with the 100-92 win at New Orleans on Monday night. Heading into Tuesday’s game Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins has played well over his past two starts with a combined 49 points and 39 rebounds. Sacramento is 6-4 straight up on their home court this season. They have huge issues offensively where they rank 30th in the league in shooting percentage at 40.7% for the season. On defense it is pretty ugly as well as they are the worst scoring defense in all of the NBA as they allow 101 points and sit 27th in the league as opponents make 46.8% of their shots against the Kings.
