Game number one of the doubleheader will feature the Brooklyn Nets hitting the road to face the Chicago Bulls. Things get started from Chicago at 8PM Eastern Time over TNT TV. Brooklyn has played better of late as the team has gotten back into the playoff picture despite a very bad start to the season. The team has won three of their past four games entering their home game with Charlotte on Wednesday night. Brooklyn is on the back end of a back to back here making the tough trip from New York to Chicago when playing on consecutive days. Heading into Tuesday the Nets occupied the seven seed in the Eastern conference and holding a two game lead over the ninth seeded Detroit Pistons for the final playoff spot. It has been a tough year for the Chicago Bulls having to navigate yet another season without point guard Derrick Rose in the lineup. Because the Eastern conference is down this year the team sits tied with Washington for the fifth spot in the East and just a ½ game behind Atlanta for the fourth seed. The Bulls are now 25-25 entering their home game Tuesday against Atlanta.

The late night game out west will feature Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder facing off with the hard trying LA Lakers. Game two will get going at 10:30PM Eastern Time from Staples Center in Los Angeles with TNT providing the coast to coast broadcast. Oklahoma City has been navigating without Russell Westbrook in the lineup. Entering their road game at Portland on Tuesday the Thunder held a 3 ½ game lead over the San Antonio Spurs for best record in the Eastern conference. The Lakers have been injury riddled this season as you do really need a program to identify their players. Good news for LA is that Steve Nash and Steve Blake are back healthy.
