The doubleheader will get started with an Eastern conference affair as the New York Knicks will make the road trip to South Florida to face the Miami Heat. The Knicks and Heat will get underway from Miami at 8PM Eastern Time and TNT TV will deliver the coast to coast broadcast. The New York Knicks are a complete mess. They travel to Miami with a 21-36 record. With only 25 games left on the schedule the Knicks sits in the 11th seed in the Eastern conference and six games behind the eighth seeded Atlanta Hawks. New York will enter Miami with a three game losing streak and have lost eight of their past ten games. Their point guard was just arrested on major gun charges and if convicted could be headed to prison with these serious gun laws in New York. Miami is just 1 ½ games behind the Indiana Pacers for the top spot in the East heading into Tuesday’s action. LeBron James missed the Heat’s win at Chicago on Sunday with a broken nose. James was at practice on Tuesday and is expected to play on Thursday with a mask over his head to protect the broken nose.

Game number two will feature the Brooklyn Nets visiting the Mile High City to square off with the Denver Nuggets. The teams will begin from Denver at 10:30PM Eastern Time over TNT TV. In the playoff chase the Brooklyn Nets sits in the sixth seed in the Eastern conference holding a 4 ½ game lead over the ninth seeded Detroit Pistons. The Nuggets sit in the 11th seed in the west and trails the eighth seeded Phoenix Suns by 8 games. Brian Shaw’s first year as head coach of the Denver Nuggets has not worked out. The Nuggets have a huge home court advantage playing in high altitude yet Shaw’s coaching philosophy does not take advantage of it.
