The doubleheader leads off with the Memphis Grizzlies playing host to the Denver Nuggets at 8PM Eastern Time over TNT TV. The Memphis Grizzlies are a hot team right now as they extended their win streak to four straight after a 19 point road win at the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. The Grizzlies have put the clamps on their past four opponents by giving up an average of 89 points a game. Zach Randolph had missed a few games around the first of the month with a knee issue but since his return to the lineup the team excelled. In 36 games Randolph is averaging 17 points per game and 12 rebounds. He scored 22 and pulled down 10 boards in the win against Dallas. What made the win even more impressive is that they did it without their starting back court in the lineup as both Tony Allen and Mike Conley missed the game due to injury. They have been both listed as questionable for Thursday. Denver is going through yet another disappointing season at 18-27 on the year. Once a fixture in the playoffs the Nuggets sits in the 11th seed in the Western conference trailing the eighth seeded Phoenix Suns by 7 ½ games. Firing George Karl as head coach and replacing him with Brian Shaw has been a disaster for this franchise.

The late night game out west has the LA Lakers playing host to the Chicago Bulls over on TNT at 10:30PM Eastern Time. The Chicago Bulls got up for a huge opponent as witnessed in their 113-111 road overtime victory on Tuesday to the Golden St Warriors. Derrick Rose put up 30 points for the Bulls in the win. The LA Lakers will be without Kobe Bryant for the rest of the season due to his shoulder injury. Scorer Nick Young recently hit head coach Byron Scott’s doghouse. Scott has been juggling lineups the past couple of weeks to try and find improvement on this 12-34 record.
