The betting odds listed at Oddsmaker has the home team Miami Heat favored by -16 ½ points with an over under lined at 188 ½ points. Last year the Heat played host to the LA Clippers on Super Bowl Sunday and absolutely pounded the Clips and easily covered a double digit betting line as favorites.

Toronto has not been competitive on the road this season against quality opposition. In the Raptors last road game they dropped a 100-64 decision to Boston on Wednesday night. They lost at Boston by 23 points in mid-January, a 77-64 defeat at Chicago and a 35 point defeat at the 76ers. Offensively the Raptors have struggled mightily as the club averages 86 points a game ranking second to last in the league. They are 27th in the NBA in field goal shooting as they hit 42% for the season. The Raptors have suffered a tough blow as their leading scorer Andrea Bargnani is out with a calf strain. Bargnani had led the struggling offense of Toronto with 23 points and 47.6% shooting per game. DeMar DeRozan is second in the team in scoring with 14 points a game but a very poor 37.7% shooting from the floor.

The Heat has won 8 of their past 10 games. After a 105-97 road defeat a an injury depleted Milwaukee Bucks team on Wednesday night the team bounced back nicely in a huge test in their 99-79 win at Philadelphia. Lebron James is having an outstanding season with 29 points per game average and 55.1% shooting. Chis Bosh has picked up his game this year as the power forward is shooting nearly 52% and pouring in 20 points a game. Miami is the top shooting team in the league hitting on 48.7% from the floor and number two in scoring offense with 103 points a game. Toronto faces a huge challenge today trying to find enough offense to cover getting +16 points to Miami today.
