With the Dallas Cowboys winning on Thursday and moving to 7-5 the Redskins at 6-5 needs to win to keep pace in the NFC East division race. Eagles sit at 5-6 and a loss will send the team two games back with four to play in the division. The magnitude of this game is huge for both teams as the playoffs are approaching.

Washington returns to the playing field after their loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. With the season ending injury to Alex Smith it will be his backup Colt McCoy making his second start of the season. His start on Thanksgiving resulted in a 31-23 road defeat at Dallas. Redskins have now lost two straight and three of their past four games. Colt McCoy showed rustiness in the loss. The signal caller went 24 of 38 for 268 yards with two touchdowns but three costly interceptions. Redskins didn’t provide McCoy much help with their run game rushing for 80 yards on 20 carries. Washington also had a poor defensive game giving up 404 yards to the Cowboys offense.

Philadelphia broke their two game losing streak overcoming a 16 point deficit in their 25-22 home win to the New York Giants last week. Eagles defense has struggled this year and the Giants were able to move the football for 402 yards. Philadelphia was strong defending the red zone holding the Giants to 1 of 3 conversions. Philadelphia on the year is surrendering 380 yards per game with opponents passing for 276 yards per game. Four members of the Philadelphia secondary is listed as questionable with injuries. Running back Darren Sproles has a hamstring problem and will miss Monday night.
