Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan looked sharp as he led the first unit to a touchdown drive in his only series in a 23-20 defeat at Miami. Pittsburgh sat Ben Roethlisberger in their opener last week as they beat the Giants 20-12 as Eli Manning sat for New York.

At 8PM Eastern Time on NFL Network the LA Chargers have a home date with the New Orleans Saints. LA is favored by -3 points with the total set at 42 ½ points. The home opener last week was an embarrassment for the LA Chargers with a turnover filled 48-17 home defeat to Seattle. New Orleans sat Drew Brees last week in a 20-14 defeat at Cleveland.

Monday Night Football on ESPN TV August 21st kicks off at 8PM Eastern Time with the Cleveland Browns home to the New York Giants. Cleveland is favored by -2 ½ points with the total of 39 ½ points. Browns rallied late with 13 unanswered fourth quarter points in a 20-14 home victory to New Orleans as rookie DeShone Kizer passes for 184 yards and a touchdown. Giants with backups under center produce 242 yards of offense in a 20-12 home defeat to Pittsburgh.
