It all gets underway on Thursday July 11th at 10PM Eastern Time on ESPN+ as the BC Lions host the Edmonton Eskimos. Edmonton opened their season 2-0 but suffered their first loss two weeks ago dropping a 28-21 decision at Winnipeg. Edmonton was able to move the football but kicked too many field goals as drives stalled. BC opened the year 0-3 until they notched their first win of the season defeating Toronto on the road 18-17. After Toronto tied the game with under a minute remaining the Lions win on a single with three seconds remaining.

The action on Friday July 12th gets underway at 8:30PM Eastern Time on ESPN+ as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are home to the Toronto Argonauts. Toronto is off to an 0-3 season. It looks like another long year for Toronto as the team is averaging only 12.7 points and surrendering 38 points plus 523 yards per game. Winnipeg is 3-0 on the campaign after their 29-14 road win at Ottawa last year. Blue Bombers held the RedBlacks to just 24 rushing yards and 234 through the air. Winnipeg has been strong defensively this season allowing 19.3 points per game.

A doubleheader is set for Saturday July 13th. Play begins at 4PM Eastern Time on ESPN2 as the Ottawa RedBlacks have a home date with the Montreal Alouettes. Montreal earned their first win of the season after their 36-29 home win last week. If was their first home game of the season as the team dropped decisions at Edmonton and Hamilton. Ottawa is 2-1 suffering their first loss of the season after their 29-14 defeat at home to Winnipeg. Ottawa was held to just four first half points and were down 22-4 in the third quarter. RedBlacks could not sustain drives with only 14 first downs in the game.

At 7PM Eastern Time on ESPN2 TV the Hamilton Tiger Cats play host to the Calgary Stampeders. After a Week 1 loss at home to Ottawa the Stampeders have won two straight with their 37-10 road win at Saskatchewan. Calgary built on a 15-3 road halftime lead. Stampeders had a +3 turnover margin and completed 20 of 23 passes for 273 yards behind a strong game by quarterback Arbuckle. Tiger Cats are 3-1 and have not had a bye week yet. They suffered their first loss of the season last week after a 36-29 defeat at Montreal. Tiger Cats were able to throw for 401 yards but only rushed for 58 yards. Hamilton run defense was poor as the Alouettes rushed for 265 yards for 8.8 yards per run.
