The first game gets underway at 2PM Eastern Time as the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees will complete their weekend series on Sunday afternoon. The Ray sand Yankees will compete from Yankees Stadium and TBS provides the live television broadcast. The scheduled starters for the series finale will be Chris Archer for the Rays who will face Yankees right hander Ivan Nova. Archer is 1-3 on the 2013 season with an ERA of 5.03. In his past two starts he has not gone very far as he worked four innings on June 12th in a loss at home to Boston and on Tuesday Archer lasted just 4 2/3rd innings in a road loss at Boston. Nova returns to the big club after a three game stint in the minor leagues. Nova started six games this season and has a record of 2-1 with an ERA of 5.12. In his time in the minors Nova compiled a 2-0 record with an ERA of 2.04.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball will feature an attractive interleague contest as the Texas Rangers will travel to play the St Louis Cardinals. These two pennant contending clubs will begin from St Louis at 8PM Eastern Time and ESPN provides the live television broadcast. The scheduled starters for the series finale will be Nick Tepesch for the Rangers going up against Cardinals veteran right hander Adam Wainwright. Tepesch is 3-6 on the season with an ERA of 4.84. He has been roughed up of late by surrendering five earned runs or greater over his past three starts. His last win came on May 12th. Wainwright is putting up some solid numbers for the Cardinals this season as he enters play on Sunday night baseball with a mark of 10-4 and ERA of 2.37. Wainwright has struck out 100 batters in 110 innings of work on the current campaign.
