On ESPN2 TV at 5PM Eastern Time it is the Independence Bowl as 6-6 Vanderbilt will meet 6-6 NC State from Shreveport Louisiana at 5PM Eastern Time. NC State is favored by -5 ½ points with a total of 45 points. To become bowl eligible the Commodores needed to upset Tennessee and Ole Miss in their final two regular season games. NC State upset North Carolina on the road in their regular season finale as they covered as a +10 point underdog to become bowl eligible.
