It has been a poor season for the Tar Heels this season. The team is 1-8 after they dropped a 24-19 defeat at home to the Miami Hurricanes. Tar Heels have struggled for points in their past five games putting up no more than 14 points in any one game. North Carolina is a poor defensive team allowing 447 yards along with 33.4 points per game. Pittsburgh has a two game win streak with a home victory to Virginia by 17 and by seven at Duke. Prior to this win streak the team had lost five of their past six games.
